{"id":61521,"date":"2021-11-01T15:02:10","date_gmt":"2021-11-01T13:02:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.naistenpankki.fi\/?page_id=61521"},"modified":"2025-06-27T11:25:49","modified_gmt":"2025-06-27T08:25:49","slug":"the-impact-of-our-work","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.naistenpankki.fi\/en\/the-impact-of-our-work\/","title":{"rendered":"The impact of our work"},"content":{"rendered":"\t\t\t<div class=\"factbox\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h3>Since 2007, we have:<\/h3>\n\t\t\t<ul>\n<li>worked in 17 countries<\/li>\n<li>across 3 continents.<\/li>\n<li>supported 100,000 women in entrepreneurship and creating better livelihoods.<\/li>\n<li>improved the lives of 494,000 family members.<\/li>\n<li>In 2025, we are working with almost 10,000 women, in 4 countries.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\n<h3><strong>Women&#8217;s Bank provides training and supports access to income opportunities and entrepreneurship<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>With your support we create opportunities for women to earn a living and start a business in Uganda, Kenya, Nepal and Myanmar.<\/p>\n<p>We offer vocational training and versatile support for entrepreneurship as well as provide information about women\u2019s rights and opportunities to make a difference.<\/p>\n<p><a class=\"btn btn--color2 bg--color2\" href=\"https:\/\/kirkonulkomaanapu.materialbank.net\/NiboWEB\/kirkonulkomaanapu\/digipaper.do?uuid=20791194&amp;ticket=cd672a995e5f1d87289d58bb2c215259&amp;lang=en\">Read about our results (PDF)\u00a0 &gt;&gt;<\/a><\/p>\n<h3>We have reached 100 000 women<\/h3>\n<p>As a result of our work, women\u2019s financial position has improved and their decision-making power in families and communities has increased. Our support has directly reached 100,000 women, and provided a more secure life for 494,000 family members in 17 countries.<\/p>\n<p>All Women\u2019s Bank\u2019s programmes are executed by Finn Church Aid, the largest international aid organisation in Finland. We are a politically and religiously non-aligned organisation.\u00a0 We monitor the impacts of our work closely and report transparently.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Aiming for women&#8217;s freedom to make choices<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Women&#8217;s Bank\u2019s programme work provides vocational education and training for women and promotes women&#8217;s economic independence through savings and loan groups and cooperatives. Our goal is for every woman to have financial independence and the power to make their own decisions.<\/p>\n<p>At the moment, there are significant inequalities in the world regarding women\u2019s right to work, earn a living and make decisions about their own life. That means our efforts to achieve change are needed.<\/p>\n<p>Gender equality will improve the wellbeing of children, families and entire communities. The main focus of our projects is on improving the position of women.
