Volunteers to Support Women’s Bank Projects in Nepal, Kenya, and Myanmar

We are looking for experienced professionals in business development, entrepreneurship training, leadership, mentoring, and the creative industries to support Women’s Bank projects in Nepal, Kenya, and Myanmar. The volunteers’ task is to strengthen and develop the skills of local women entrepreneurs and teams.
We are seeking skilled mentors and trainers who can share their knowledge and expertise with local teams, while helping to develop tools and training programs that will continue to support partners as they work independently.
The assignment in Nepal includes both an in-country field component and remote support after the trip. The volunteer assignments for Myanmar and Kenya are conducted entirely remotely, making it possible to participate alongside full-time employment.
Kenya
What? We are looking for ten (10) distance mentors to support professionals in the creative industries in Kenya. The mentors will provide guidance and mentoring to creative entrepreneurs, helping them strengthen their personal and professional development, entrepreneurial skills, and strategic thinking.
Where? Distance support for a project in Kenya.
When? Four months, with two group options: starting in February or in June 2026.

Nepal
What? We are looking for a volunteer to strengthen women entrepreneurs’ skills in business governance and leadership. The volunteer will support also business health checkups and promote networking for export opportunities.
Where? Kailali and Dadeldhura regions, Nepal.
When? Workshop trip during spring 2026, followed by remote support after the field period.

Myanmar
What? We are looking for a volunteer to develop entrepreneurship training modules and deliver Training of Trainers (ToT) sessions for project staff. The expert will strengthen the staff’s capacity to provide ongoing coaching and mentoring support to women entrepreneurs.
Where? Remote support for a project in Myanmar.
When? Two or three months, starting in spring 2026.

Practical Arrangements
All logistical arrangements in the project countries and in Finland are managed by Finn Church Aid. Before the assignment, the volunteer will receive an orientation on the country context and project activities.
After the assignment, the volunteer is expected to participate in Women’s Bank events and communications in Finland. The total duration of each assignment is defined in the respective terms of reference.
The Skills Donation program is a volunteer initiative that covers travel and accommodation expenses, as well as a daily allowance for the duration of the assignment for the assignments that include travel. No remuneration is paid for the assignment itself.
Applications close on 2nd November 2025 (11:59 p.m.). Interviews will mainly take place 10–21 November 2025, and final selections will be made by 20th December 2025.
