Writing fiction about unknown women in history by Writer Laura Lähteenmäki from Finland.
She holds a Master of Arts degree and has a teacher trainee of Finnish language and literature.

Painting Workshop: Dubrovnik Motifs in Acrylic
Join us for a relaxing painting workshop where we will capture one of Dubrovnik's most iconic scenes in acrylic.
The workshop will be led by Klara Knego, Master of Fine Arts from Dubrovnik.

Tickets 20 euro including brunch, program and donation to Women's Bank work.

Writing fiction about unknown women in history 

Writer Laura Lähteenmäki (b. 1973) holds a Master of Arts degree and has a teacher trainee of Finnish language and literature.

In addition to her work as an author, she works as an executive editor for both non-fiction and fiction. Lähteenmäki’s debut book was published in 1998, and since then, she has written over 20 titles for children, young adults, and adults.

Her latest children’s novel was a nominee for the Nordic Council Children and Young People’s Literature Prize, and its translation rights have been sold to many countries. Her latest novel, ”Marian kirja,” was published in April 2025 and tells a story of Elias Lönnrot’s spouse, Maria. Lähteenmäki lives with her family in Jyväskylä.
